As a non-american it is hard for me to explain how dumb the current american president George Bush seems to the rest of the word. It begs the question how did the american people elect him twice? Considering the enourmous contributions of the USA to the world civilization one would think they are smarter than that. Anyways, the recent stupidity of Bush manifested itself during his recent visit to Israel. It's one thing that the USA had always biased strategies sympathetic to the jewish state but it's another thing that this president is so clearly stating them. It completely negates the role of the USA as a moderator . (His attitude reminds me of his attitude when he visited a church in China a couple of years ago) He chooses the most trivial statements and makes them irrespective of the dire consequences. Back to the palestinian issue. For most arab nations it's becoming a boring issue and by now everybody can see through the biased US policies. The only thing Bush did with his visit to Israel is to result in a gallon of Gas being $4. Thanks to the Saudi King. He was the man. First he invited Bush to visit him after his trip to Israel, and then gave him a slap on the face by denying his request to increase oil supplies. A few days after Bush left Saudi oil prices rose from about $126 to $133 a barrol and a gallon is rapidely approaching $4. Did this president ever understand what diplomacy is?
He can't claim he is an honest religious man that will tell you to your face what he thinks of you considering all of his contributions to decieve the world into the Iraq war, use torture techniques and set up secret prisons in Europe. Wow what a list! Back to the slap on the face, Bush continued his trip to Egypt and instead of the traditional red carpet reception US presidents are used to, Hosni Mubarak the president of Egypt did not even listen to his speach in the opening day of the Egypt's "Davos" (World Economic Forum). Not just that, but nor did Mubarak or his Prime Minister accompany Bush to the airport for his departure. He left the honor to the Egyptian Foreign Minister. Now thats a significant down grade:). What happened to diplomacy Mr. Bush? History will remember you as the president that let the USA fall from it's status as the world no.1 power. Keep focusing on the people in caves and forget about the rise of China and India. That's strategic planning.
